Russia Claims Capture of 17 Communities in Ukraine in January

Russian armed forces announced they have captured 17 communities and brought over 500 square kilometers in Ukraine under their control in January.

The head of the Russian General Staff, General Valery Gerasimov, made the statement during an inspection of Russian military formations participating in the 'special military operation' in Ukraine.
