Russian Attack on Kyiv: Missiles and Drones, Building Damage

A Russian missile and drone attack struck Kyiv in the early morning hours, causing damage to apartment buildings and other structures. Alerts were also issued in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
Reuters journalists reported explosions in the Ukrainian capital, with authorities immediately mobilizing rescue teams. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko ordered immediate intervention in affected areas.
The head of Kyiv's military administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported that apartment buildings, an educational institution, and a commercial facility east of the Dnieper River were hit.
In Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov spoke of a "massive" attack with missiles and drones. Attacks were also reported in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
