Saif al-Islam Gaddafi: Reports of His Death

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, is reportedly dead, according to Libyan media outlets.

The 53-year-old was wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity and had been sentenced to death in absentia in 2015, but was later granted amnesty.

Libyan media report that sources close to him have confirmed his death, without specifying the cause. The official Libyan news agency cited an advisor who did not clarify whether it was a natural death or a murder.

Al Arabiya reported that Gaddafi was shot at his residence in Zenten by four individuals.
