Xi Jinping: New Energy Strategy for China's Security

Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced a new energy strategy for China's security in response to the turmoil caused by the war in Iran.
Xi Jinping emphasized the need to accelerate the planning and construction of a new energy system to ensure the country's energy security, amid rising fuel prices following the US-Israeli attack on Iran.
He also referred to the importance of developing hydropower and called for a 'safe and organized expansion' of nuclear power.
Xi Jinping stated that the Central Committee of the Party has a deep understanding of global energy development trends and is promoting the new energy security strategy.
