Serious Challenges for the UN General Assembly

This year's United Nations General Assembly faces serious challenges, according to UN diplomatic sources in New York.

The Security Council's inability to respond to crises such as Ukraine, Gaza, and conflicts in Africa is affecting the organization's image.

Emphasis was placed on the lack of funding, due to the withdrawal of the United States from certain organizations and the reduction of voluntary contributions.

Diplomatic sources stressed that this year's General Assembly will determine the future of the multilateral system and will show which countries support international law.
