Starmer: UK and US working together on a daily basis

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that Britain and the US are working together on a "daily basis," responding to questions about the "special relationship" between the two countries.

Starmer emphasized that the US and the UK are working jointly, as they always have, adding that decisions regarding Britain's best interests are made by the British Prime Minister.

Yesterday, Starmer spoke with US President Donald Trump, a day after Trump criticized Britain's support for the US campaign against Iran.

The leaders discussed developments in the Middle East and military cooperation through the use of RAF bases to support collective defense in the region. The statement did not mention Trump's comments regarding Britain sending an aircraft carrier.

Starmer's office spokesperson added that the Prime Minister expressed condolences for the deaths of six American soldiers.
