US Navy Ships Collide in Caribbean Sea

Two US Navy ships collided in the Caribbean Sea during a replenishment exercise. The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Truxtun collided with the support ship USNS Supply.

The incident occurred in the area of responsibility of the US Southern Command (Southcom). According to military officials, two crew members sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. Both ships reported that they are sailing safely. The collision occurred during a period of increased US military presence in the region.
