G7 Summit: Dates Changed to Accommodate Trump

France has shifted the dates of the G7 summit to accommodate Donald Trump's schedule, according to a U.S. official. The summit, originally scheduled for June 14-16, will now be held from June 15-17.
The change was made because Trump is hosting a mixed martial arts fight at the White House on June 14, his 80th birthday. "They politely changed the dates to accommodate the American president's schedule," said a senior White House official.
The Élysée commented that the date of the summit is the result of consultations with all G7 partners. The "Group of Seven" consists of the United States, Japan, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, and Britain.
Donald Trump's return to power has shaken the traditional alliances of the United States.
