Netanyahu-Trump Meeting in Washington Focuses on Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday, with Iran as the main topic of discussion, his office announced.
The meeting takes place as the United States and Iran appear ready to begin a second round of talks on Tehran's nuclear program. Netanyahu believes any negotiation should include clear restrictions on the Iranian ballistic missile program and an end to support for the 'Iranian axis'.
The U.S. and Iran held the first day of indirect talks in Oman on Friday, focusing on the Iranian nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that his country would not give up its right to enrich uranium. The issue of ballistic missile production was not discussed.
Originally, Netanyahu's visit to Washington was scheduled for February 18-22, but it was brought forward at the request of the Israeli Prime Minister.
