Putin-Pezeshkian Meeting: Iran's Nuclear Program in Focus

Russia, an ally of Iran, has called on the West to reconsider its decisions, warning of potential consequences. The two countries have strengthened their relations since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

In January, Moscow and Tehran signed a strategic partnership treaty, with emphasis on strengthening military ties. Iran has been accused of supplying drones and missiles to Russia for use in Ukraine.
