Turkey Cuts Economic Ties with Israel Over Gaza

Turkey has announced the suspension of all economic and trade relations with Israel, citing Israeli policies in Gaza. According to Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the decision includes closing Turkish airspace to Israeli aircraft and prohibiting Turkish ships from accessing Israeli ports.
Fidan accused Israel of implementing “brutal starvation policies” against Palestinians and attempting to seize the entire territory of Gaza. He also stated that Turkey continues its efforts for a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in coordination with Qatar and Egypt.
The Turkish Foreign Minister argued that Israel's actions aim to make Gaza uninhabitable, while also accusing Israel of escalating tensions through incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
