Turkey: Drilling in Black Sea and Libya

The Turkish Minister of Energy, Alparslan Bayraktar, stated that the second of two drilling rigs purchased by Turkey will likely operate in Libya.

He emphasized the need to accelerate natural gas production in the Black Sea due to significant needs.

According to him, there are also other locations in the Mediterranean where drilling is being considered, based on agreements with Libya. The other drilling rig will be placed in the Black Sea.
