Turkish Fishing Boat Attempted to Ram Coast Guard Vessel near Agathonisi

A Turkish fishing boat attempted to ram a Hellenic Coast Guard vessel in the sea area of Agathonisi, prompting a response from Greek authorities.

According to reports, the incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, November 18, when three Coast Guard patrol boats spotted Turkish fishing vessels fishing within Greek territorial waters, accompanied by two Turkish Coast Guard vessels.

Despite repeated warnings, one Turkish fishing boat made dangerous maneuvers, risking a collision with one of the patrol boats. The Greek crew fired warning shots, forcing the Turkish vessels to withdraw from Greek territorial waters.
