Trump: Regime Change in Iran Would Be the Best Thing

US President Donald Trump stated that regime change in Iran "would be the best thing that could happen." The statement comes as the US continues negotiations with Iran while bolstering its armed forces in the Middle East.

During his visit to Fort Bragg military base, Trump mentioned that negotiations with Iran are "difficult" and recalled the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities last June.

He also confirmed that the US is sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East, in case negotiations fail. Trump visited Fort Bragg to meet special forces involved in the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Trump also criticized his political opponents, arguing that the Democrats would undermine the military if they win control of Congress.
