Trump Threatens 35% Tariffs on EU Over Investment Commitments

Donald Trump has threatened to impose increased tariffs on the European Union if investment commitments to the US are not met. In an interview with CNBC, the US President stated that the US is ready to reinstate 35% tariffs on European products if the EU does not honor agreements.
Trump recalled that previous tariffs had been reduced when the EU, as he claimed, invested $600 billion in the US. This statement comes amid increased pressure from Washington on its trade partners for more commitments and increased US exports and investments.
Additionally, Trump expressed optimism about a trade deal with China by the end of the year and reiterated the threat to increase tariffs on India, accusing it of buying Russian oil.
Earlier, Brussels announced the suspension of countermeasures to Trump's tariffs due to the trade agreement between the US and the EU.
