Trump: Greek-American relations stronger than ever

US President Donald Trump described Greek-American relations as stronger than ever.

During the credentials ceremony for the new Greek Ambassador, Antonis Alexandridis, Trump emphasized the strong, historical friendship between Athens and Washington, based on a shared democratic and intellectual heritage.

President Trump referred to Greece's leading presence in NATO and its progress towards achieving defense spending of 5%. He also noted the prospects for strengthening cooperation in the shipbuilding industry, including talks on the construction of American frigates in Greece.
