Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Barack Obama, accusing him of 'treason' and attempting a coup, amid growing scrutiny of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

During a meeting with the President of the Philippines, Trump avoided commenting on developments in the Epstein case, but then attacked Obama and Hillary Clinton for spreading false information about Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Trump also released a fake video showing Obama's arrest, while implying that there is sufficient evidence for prosecutions.

Obama's office responded to the allegations, calling them 'strange and ridiculous' and a 'weak attempt at distraction'.
