Trump: Herzog Told Me Netanyahu Pardon is 'Imminent'

Former US President Donald Trump stated that Israeli President Isaac Herzog told him that a pardon for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is 'imminent'.

'He is a prime minister in a time of war, who is a hero. How can you not grant him a pardon?' Trump said, standing alongside Netanyahu before their meeting.

However, President Herzog's office denied any recent conversation with Trump on the matter, noting that the last communication took place several weeks ago when the request for a pardon for Netanyahu was submitted, according to Reuters.
