Trump Extends Ceasefire with Iran Pending Talks

US President Donald Trump announced that he is extending the ceasefire with Iran until talks with Tehran are completed. The announcement was made via the Truth Social platform.

The blockade of Iranian ports by US armed forces will continue, Trump clarified.

"Given that the Iranian government is seriously divided, which is not surprising, and at the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, we have been asked to suspend our attack on Iran until its leaders and representatives submit a unified proposal," Trump wrote.

Trump stated that he has ordered US armed forces to "continue the blockade and, at all other levels, remain ready and able to act." The ceasefire will be extended until the relevant proposal is submitted and negotiations are completed.
