Trump: Iran Doesn't Want the Strait of Hormuz Closed

Donald Trump has claimed that Iran does not want the Strait of Hormuz closed, as it wishes to maintain revenues of $500 million per day.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump asserted that Tehran publicly supports the closure only for show, as the Strait is already under a U.S. blockade.

"They say they want to close it because I have totally blockaded it, so they are just trying to save face," he stated.

The American president warned that any attempt to open the Strait would complicate negotiations with Iran.
