Trump: US Takes Control of Iranian Ship in Gulf of Oman

Donald Trump announced that an Iranian cargo ship, the TOUSKA, has been taken under US control in the Gulf of Oman. According to Trump, the ship attempted to violate the American naval blockade.

In a statement, Trump said that the USS Spruance, a US Navy destroyer, intercepted the TOUSKA and issued a warning to stop. When the crew did not comply, the American ship damaged the engine room, immobilizing the vessel.

Trump added that the ship is under the supervision of US Marines and is subject to sanctions by the US Treasury Department due to previous involvement in illegal activities. The US is examining the ship's cargo.
