Donald Trump has hinted at a possible early end to the war with Iran, amid growing pressure from oil prices and the midterm elections. The president's statements come as energy prices soar and American support for the war dwindles.

Trump stated that the military campaign may end soon, but continued to send mixed messages regarding the duration and goals of the conflict. His decisions are influenced by the November midterm elections, where voters may punish their representatives in Congress if fuel prices remain high.

Colin Clarke, director of the Soufan Center, believes Trump will continue the conflict until his advisors warn of the economic repercussions. Financial Times journalist Robert Armstrong argued that Trump is seeking an "exit door" from the situation.

Meanwhile, Iran has adopted a tough rhetoric, threatening to paralyze oil exports from the Gulf. Iranian National Security Council chief Ali Larijani personally threatened Trump.

Analysts warn that a weakened Iranian leadership could accelerate efforts to acquire nuclear weapons.
