JD Vance: Goal to Neutralize Iran for Many Years

US Vice President JD Vance stated that Washington will continue its efforts in Iran for "a little longer," with the goal of "neutralizing" the Islamic Republic for "a very, very long time."
In an interview on the "Benny Show" podcast, Vance addressed the increase in natural gas prices due to the war, saying that the US has "completed the vast majority of our military projects" and claimed that the goals have already been achieved.
"The president will continue for a little longer to ensure that once we leave, we won't have to do this again for a very, very long time," Vance said.
Vance acknowledged the rising natural gas prices but called them "a very temporary reaction to what will ultimately be a short-term conflict." He also added that there is no interest in staying in Iran long-term.
"We need to neutralize them for a very, very long time, and that's the purpose," Vance concluded.
