Venezuela: Funerals Held for Soldiers After US Operation

The Venezuelan armed forces released videos of funerals for soldiers killed in the US military operation that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro.
Mourning relatives, coffins draped in Venezuelan flags, and honor guards marked the ceremonies. Wreaths and photos of the deceased accompanied the coffins.
At least one civilian and 55 soldiers from Venezuela and Cuba were killed in the January 3rd attack. Interim President Delcy Rodríguez declared seven days of national mourning.
Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino stated that President Maduro's bodyguards were murdered by US troops, who bombed the capital Caracas and other locations.
