Venezuela: US Envoy Discusses 'Transition' with RodrĂguez

The U.S. ChargĂ© d'Affaires in Venezuela, Laura Dogu, met with acting President Delcy RodrĂguez in Caracas to discuss a potential 'transition' in the country.
The meeting took place a month after a reported operation by the U.S. armed forces targeting President Nicolás Maduro. Venezuela's Ministry of Communication confirmed the meeting, noting it occurred within the framework of the 'cooperation agenda' between the two countries.
Dogu, via X, reiterated the 'three phases' proposed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: stabilization, economic recovery and reconciliation, and transition.
RodrĂguez also announced the appointment of FĂ©lix Plasencia as the new head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission to the U.S.
