Venezuela: Maduro and Wife Injured During Capture by U.S. Military

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were injured during a U.S. military operation in Caracas on January 3, according to the country's Interior Minister, Diosdado Cabello.
Cilia Flores sustained injuries to her head and body, while Nicolás Maduro was injured in the leg, Cabello stated. Both are reportedly recovering.
The Interior Minister described the U.S. attack as "horrific," reporting 100 deaths and a similar number of injuries.
Venezuelan armed forces released videos of funerals for military personnel who died in the operation. Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino stated that President Maduro's bodyguards were murdered by U.S. troops.
