UK Court Rules F-35 Parts Export to Israel Legal

A London court has ruled that the UK's decision to allow the export of components for F-35 fighter jets to Israel was legal. The ruling comes despite acknowledging that these components might be used in violation of international humanitarian law in Gaza.
Al-Haq, a West Bank-based organization, legally challenged the UK's Department for Business and Trade over its decision to exempt F-35 components when it suspended some arms export licenses last year.
The UK had concerns about Israel's compliance with international humanitarian law but decided to exempt F-35 licenses, citing potential disruptions to the global supply program and international security. The Ministry of Defence stated that a suspension would "undermine American confidence in the UK and NATO."
Al-Haq's appeal was rejected by the court. It is not yet known whether the organization will appeal the decision.
