WSJ: Chinese General Leaked Nuclear Secrets to US

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, a top general in China, Zhang Yuxia, is accused of leaking secrets about the country's nuclear weapons to the United States.
The general, considered a confidant of President Xi Jinping, is also accused of accepting bribes for promoting officers, including a defense minister.
Chinese authorities are also examining his oversight of an agency responsible for procuring military equipment, as well as alleged attempts to create political cliques.
The investigation into Zhang Yuxia is also linked to a security breach in China's nuclear sector.
Liu Pengyu, a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Washington, said the decision to investigate Yuxia demonstrates the leadership's commitment to fighting corruption.
Christopher Johnson, head of the China Strategies Group, described the move as "unprecedented in the history of the Chinese military."
Some analysts believe that these developments may affect the effectiveness of the Chinese military and reduce the risk of an invasion of Taiwan.
In addition, an investigation is also underway into Wu Hong, former general manager of China National Nuclear Corp.
