Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that "anti-Turkish sentiment flourishes in Greek politics." He also criticized Greece's stance on European security and the EU's SAFE Programme.

Fidan urged Greece to resume discussions on security cooperation, which Ankara considers crucial for European stability. He described Greece's stance on the SAFE Programme as "a matter worth watching carefully," warning that decisions on European security should not serve the interests of only one country.

He also referred to Turkey's acceptance of Greece's return to NATO's military wing in 1980, stressing that Turkey expects the same strategic maturity from Greece today. Fidan stated that he will participate in the upcoming EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg.
