President Christodoulides in Paris: Strategic Partnership Agreement Signed with Macron

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is traveling to Paris today to meet with the French President, Emmanuel Macron. The meeting will take place at the Élysée Palace.
During the visit, a Strategic Partnership Agreement between Cyprus and France will be signed. The main axes of the agreement include cooperation in the fields of defense, economy, and coordination on European issues.
According to the Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, the two leaders will also discuss the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU for the first half of 2026, as well as important international and regional issues.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral relations and upgrade them, with emphasis on defense, economy, culture, innovation, and education. It also seeks to strengthen Cyprus' role as a reliable partner in the EU and as a pillar of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Kombos, the Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis, the Deputy Minister of European Affairs Marilena Raouna, and officials.
