Russia-NATO Hybrid Warfare in the Baltic: Rising Tensions
Share on:

Tensions are escalating in the Baltic Sea as NATO increases its presence, causing concern for Russia. The region is a crucial hub for 15% of global shipping.

The Kremlin alleges that the West is escalating provocations, with Nikolai Patrushev stating that the West is 'hunting' Russian ships and militarizing the area. Patrushev stressed that the West has already begun to gradually implement planned provocative actions in various sections of the Transarctic Transport Corridor.

NATO's 'Baltic Sentry' mission aims to oversee activities in the area in response to damage to underwater cables. Russia warns it will not allow NATO dominance in the Baltic.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the NATO exercise 'Neptune Strike 25-2', in which Greece participated, has been completed.

A senior Russian official stated that Russia would counter any NATO moves aimed at dominating the Baltic Sea.
