Zelenskyy: Putin Humiliates Diplomacy with Cynical Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of carrying out cynical attacks, including one on an Azerbaijani oil facility, shortly before his meeting with Donald Trump and European leaders in Washington.

Zelenskyy stated that Vladimir Putin seeks to humiliate diplomatic efforts and maintain pressure on Ukraine and Europe through demonstrative actions. "This was a cynical and demonstrative attack. They know that a meeting is taking place today in Washington that will address the end of the war," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, the Sumy region, and Odesa, destroying homes and civilian infrastructure. He also reported that civilians, including children, were killed.

Zelenskyy emphasized the need for assistance and reliable security guarantees, stressing that Russia should not be rewarded for the war. The statement was made via Facebook and X.
