Zelensky: Ukraine Sends Drones, Specialists to Protect US Bases in Jordan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine has sent interceptor drones and a team of specialists to Jordan to protect American bases, responding to a request from the United States. This move comes as Ukraine seeks diplomatic support from the Middle East to end the war with Russia.
In an interview with The New York Times, Zelenskyy stated that the US request was made on Thursday (March 5), and the Ukrainian team departed the following day. "We reacted immediately," Zelenskyy said. "I said: yes, of course, we will send our specialists."
Zelenskyy emphasized that Iranian drones include Russian components and that Ukraine shoots down the majority of Russian drones. Ukraine is offering technical assistance to Middle Eastern countries in exchange for diplomatic support for a ceasefire with Russia.
Ukrainian presidential advisor, Dmytro Litvin, reported that Ukraine has received approximately 600 advanced Patriot missiles during the war with Russia. Ukraine has adapted to countering drones by using heavy machine guns, cheaper missiles, and electronic jamming systems.
