The Republic of Cyprus continues implementing the Amalthea Plan, dispatching 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid from Limassol Port to Gaza.

The mission, under the UN-2720 mechanism and UNOPS, is managed by World Central Kitchen and is under the auspices of the UN.

The cargo will be transshipped through Ashdod Port for distribution in Gaza, without additional security checks.

The aid includes food items, particularly for child nutrition, originating from Cyprus (700 tons via CyprusAid) and donations from Malta (500 tons), the USA, Italy, the Order of Malta, and Kuwait, with contributions from the United Arab Emirates.

The Republic of Cyprus thanks all states and organizations for their participation, emphasizing the need for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza and offering its infrastructure for the collection and departure of aid.
