Two Killed in Israeli Bombing in Lebanon

At least two people were killed on Sunday in an Israeli bombing in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese authorities. The Israeli army announced that it had targeted a member of Hezbollah.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the victims were killed near the town of Jmaijma, ten kilometers from the border with Israel, when their vehicle was hit by an Israeli attack.
The IDF announced that they struck a Hezbollah member in the area in retaliation for continued ceasefire violations. Despite the ceasefire in November 2024, the Israeli army continues to launch strikes on Lebanese territory almost daily, targeting the Shiite movement.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar acknowledged the efforts of the Lebanese government and army, but added that they are not sufficient.
According to a count by the French Agency, at least 350 people have been killed in Israeli military operations in Lebanon since the ceasefire was declared.
