Drone Attack Near Dubai Airport – Flights Suspended

A drone incident occurred near Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates, causing a temporary suspension of flights on Saturday. According to the Dubai government, the incident resulted in debris falling after a successful interception.

An eyewitness told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that a loud explosion was heard and a cloud of smoke rose near the airport. The UAE Ministry of Defense announced an operation to counter a drone attack, which it attributed to Iran.

Authorities clarified that there were no injuries or damage to critical infrastructure. Airport management stated that operations were temporarily suspended for security reasons.

The incident occurs amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East.
