Rocket Attack on Baghdad Airport – Injuries at US Facility

Rockets struck Baghdad International Airport, which houses a US diplomatic facility. The attack resulted in injuries to five people, according to Iraqi security officials.

"Five rockets targeted Baghdad International Airport and its surrounding areas, injuring four workers and security personnel, as well as an engineer," security services reported.

The projectiles landed within the civilian airport area, as well as at a water treatment unit near an Iraqi military airbase and a high-security prison.

Iraqi sources reported that the military base at Baghdad airport was targeted by nine drone and rocket attacks, with three drones being shot down by air defense systems.

Police sources said the attack targeted the US diplomatic facility near the airport.
