Attack on Khor Fakkan Port in UAE â Four Injured
The port of Khor Fakkan, on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates, near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, was attacked, local authorities announced today.
Four people were injured by debris after a projectile was intercepted. The type of projectile and its origin were not specified.
One of the injured, who is more seriously hurt, is Nepalese. The other three are Pakistani.
The attack caused a fire, which has now been brought under control.
Earlier, the British maritime security agency UKMTO reported an incident involving "unidentified projectiles" falling near a container ship that was loading at the port at the time.
