Gaza: 21 Dead in Israeli Attacks

The Hamas-run Civil Defense service announced a new death toll of 21 from today's Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, where Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating the fragile ceasefire.
The Israeli army said it had "started striking Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip" in response to what it described as an attack by an "armed terrorist" against its soldiers, whom it killed.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the army killed five "high-ranking officials" of Hamas in response to the Palestinian organization's violation of the ceasefire. "Today, Hamas violated the ceasefire again by sending a terrorist into the Israeli-controlled zone in Gaza to attack soldiers. In response, Israel eliminated five senior Hamas terrorists," the statement said.
Netanyahu's office called on "mediators to insist that Hamas abide by its commitments under the ceasefire."
