Gaza: Israeli Attack on WHO Staff and Infrastructure

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that Israeli forces attacked WHO facilities in Gaza, including a warehouse in Deir al-Balah. According to the WHO, soldiers entered the facilities, detained staff members and their families, stripped them, and interrogated them at gunpoint.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the WHO staff residence in Deir al-Balah was attacked three times. Two staff members and two family members were detained, with one staff member remaining in custody.

The WHO's main warehouse in Deir al-Balah was damaged in an attack, causing explosions and a fire. The WHO emphasizes that undermining the organization's activities paralyzes the health response in Gaza and calls for a ceasefire.
