Gaza: Israeli Navy Seizes Handala Aid Ship

Israeli forces seized the Handala ship, which was sailing towards Gaza carrying humanitarian aid, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced.

The incident was confirmed by the Coalition and by released photographs. The ship was mainly carrying baby formula, which is in short supply in the area.

Huwaiyda Araf, an activist on board, reported that Israeli vessels approached the Handala, and attempts were made to communicate, but there was no response.

The Freedom Flotilla condemns the action as an "act of piracy." The Handala had managed to get closer to Gaza compared to previous attempts.
