Gaza: Starvation and Plans for a 'Riviera' by Israeli Far-Right

As the population of Gaza faces starvation, far-right Israeli officials are promoting plans to transform the area into a 'Riviera'.

According to APE, the discussion about the plan took place in the Knesset, with the participation of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and activist Daniella Weiss.

The plan includes the construction of housing for 1.2 million Jews, the development of industrial and agricultural zones, as well as the construction of tourist complexes.

This comes as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and subsequent Israeli military operations. More than 59,000 people have lost their lives, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

The resettlement of Jewish settlers who were withdrawn from Gaza in 2005 has also been proposed.
