Gaza: Casualties Reported After Israeli Strike

At least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured today in an Israeli strike in Gaza City. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claim the target was a Hamas militant.

An IDF spokesperson stated that Hamas militants had launched an attack against Israeli soldiers. The airstrike targeted a Hamas commander allegedly responsible for ordering the attack.

In the Rafah area, a Palestinian militia supported by Israel reported killing two Hamas militants.

Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which came into effect on October 10th. Over the past three months, more than 400 Palestinians and three Israeli soldiers have been killed.
