Aramco Eyes Eastern Mediterranean Investments via SUMED Pipeline

Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Arabian energy giant, is considering strategic investments in the Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on the SUMED pipeline that connects the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean via Egypt.
Company executives are evaluating SUMED as a potential pillar for creating a new hydrogen corridor, as part of Saudi Arabia's diversification strategy towards low-carbon fuels.
Egypt is considered a key partner, with Aramco exploring partnerships with Egyptian downstream assets. Simultaneously, Cyprus and Greece are emerging as gateways to the European market.
This move is part of Riyadh's broader foreign policy to strengthen ties with Egypt and establish a presence in the Eastern Mediterranean, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
