IDF: Over 250,000 People Have Left Gaza City

The Israeli army announced that over 250,000 people have left Gaza City, moving to other areas of the Gaza Strip, due to intensified Israeli military operations.

The Gaza Civil Defense service reported five Palestinian deaths from Israeli bombings. The UN estimates that approximately one million Palestinians live in and around Gaza City.

The Israeli army aims to take control of Gaza City, which it considers a stronghold of Hamas. Israeli forces dropped leaflets urging residents of western neighborhoods to evacuate.

Many humanitarian organizations consider the displacement to the southern part of the Gaza Strip impossible and dangerous.
