Iran: Public Funerals Held for Victims of War with Israel

Public funerals began in Iran for approximately 60 officials and scientists killed during the war with Israel. The ceremonies follow warnings from Donald Trump about potential attacks.
State television broadcast images from Tehran, where citizens held Iranian flags and photos of the victims. The ceremonies take place after U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in support of the Israeli offensive that began on June 13.
According to Iranian authorities, the dead include senior officers and nuclear scientists. Mohsen Mahmoudi stated that the day is historic for Iran. The coffins, covered with Iranian flags, were transported from the University of Tehran to Freedom Square.
President Trump stated that the U.S. would launch new strikes against Iran if it continues uranium enrichment.
