Iran: Executions and Crackdown After War with Israel

Following airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel, Iran is facing a wave of repression, targeting dissidents and suspected spies. According to the Wall Street Journal, security measures have increased in Tehran, with reports of executions and arrests.
Amnesty International reports that over 1,000 people are being held as suspected collaborators with Israel, and at least six men have already been executed. Activist Narges Mohammadi warns that the situation is more dangerous for Iranians.
In addition, the 'morality police' has returned, and intelligence services are calling on citizens to report suspicious activity. The airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 600 people and the injury of 5,000.
During the raids, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was in a bunker outside Tehran. Despite the blow, the regime has endured, with the new generation of Revolutionary Guards being even more hardline.
