Iran: Man Executed for Spying for Israel

Iranian authorities have executed a man, Roozbeh Vadi, who was convicted of spying for Israel. According to the judiciary's news agency Mizan Online, Vadi had provided information about a nuclear scientist who was assassinated during the 12-day war with Israel.
Vadi reportedly worked in a "sensitive key organization" in Iran and was recruited via the Internet by Mossad, the Israeli intelligence services. He transmitted "confidential information" due to his position.
Additionally, Iranian authorities executed a man found guilty of belonging to the jihadist organization Islamic State, who was planning "terrorist operations inside Iran." According to Amnesty International, Iran is the second country in the world in number of executions after China.
