Iran Establishes National Defense Council After War with Israel

Iran has announced the establishment of a national defense council aimed at strengthening its military capabilities following the recent war with Israel. The Supreme National Security Council approved the formation of the new body, which will review defense plans and strengthen the armed forces.
According to state television, the council will be chaired by the President of Iran and will include senior military officials and heads of ministries. This move comes after the 12-day war launched by Israel in June, with the support of the United States, against Iran.
In June, Israel carried out an attack on military and nuclear facilities in Iran. The US also bombed the Fordow underground uranium enrichment facility and other key nuclear facilities. Iran responded with missile attacks against Israel and US bases.
During the war, over a thousand people were killed in Iran, while Israel reported 28 deaths.
