Iran: Was Nuclear Program Destroyed After Operation Midnight Hammer?
Share on:

Analysts are questioning the extent to which the U.S. Operation Midnight Hammer impacted Iran's nuclear program. While President Trump claimed Iran's nuclear facilities were 'eliminated,' intelligence estimates suggest a more tempered picture.

A preliminary assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) indicated that Midnight Hammer may have only set back the program by several months. European intelligence agencies have reached similar conclusions.

In contrast, Israeli intelligence maintains that the U.S. strikes delayed Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons by several years. Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, initially stated Iran was not building a nuclear weapon but later aligned with Trump's narrative.

Dan Kane, the Chief of Staff of the Army, noted that a full assessment would take time. Uncertainty regarding the true extent of the damage remains.
